Welcome and thank you for stopping by! I'm Janet McLaren of Cruise Planners, an American Express Travel Services agency. Although I book all kinds of travel (air, hotels, packages, tours, and so on) I have specialized in cruises since 2004. Cruise Planners has been in business since 1994, and American Express has been around for 158 years!
I'm an independent franchisee operating an office in Richardson, Texas. While most Cruise Planners work from home, I have made a unique committment to staffing a real office. Besides myself, the other agents working with me are Brandon McLaren, Larry Lampert, and Suzie Miller.
Brandon is new to the business but has already achieved Associate status with Cruise Planners, Commodore Certification with Princess and Cunard, and completed Specialist Certification with Royal Caribbean and NCL.
Larry has been booking travel professionally for 11 years and has completed all cruise line certifications, including Avalon and Uniworld river cruise lines. He has also been on 3 river cruises -- so he is a true specialist in that area, as well.
By booking with us, you get the personal attention of a home-based friend, and the resources of a retail store. We have brochures, a DVD library, and a conference room where we can plan your itinerary, spread out maps and materials, and go over your travel documents when they arrive.
As part of American Express Travel Services, we have lots of resources to put to work for you, including "Pay with Points."
Also, unlike a person working from home, we don't disappear when we take a day off or go on vacation -- because our office is always staffed. You don't have to worry about missing a sale, or not getting that just-perfect cabin. No more waiting and waiting for somebody to call you back or to get an answer to an important question.
We don't charge office fees for cancelling or changing your booking, and we always have a "thanks for booking with us" gift for you.
