Welcome and thank you for stopping by! I'm Janet McLaren of Cruise Planners, your American Express Travel Services Representative. Although I book all kinds of travel (air, hotels, packages, tours, and so on) I have specialized in cruises since 2004. Cruise Planners has been in business since 1994, and American Express has been around for 162 years -- so we have the expertise and experience you can trust.
I'm an independent franchisee operating an office in Richardson, Texas. My son Brandon works part-time here with me, too.
I suppose I always wanted to be a travel agent! Some of my family's best vacations over the years were arranged with travel agents, and I always enjoyed working with someone who knew what they were talking about. So when I had the opportunity to change careers back in 2004 I went to work at an agency and learned how to do it.
I'm proud to say that by booking with me and Brandon, you get the personal attention of a home-based friend, and the resources of a retail store. We have brochures, a DVD library, and a conference room where we can plan your itinerary, spread out maps and materials, and go over your travel documents when they arrive.
Also, as part of American Express Travel Services, we have lots of resources to put to work for you, including "Pay with Points."
Our focus is on what's right for YOU -- unlike some places, we don't "sell" you anything, we don't charge office fees for cancelling or changing your booking, and we always have a "thanks for booking with us" gift for you.

I know the major cruise ports, the West Coast, and the Napa Valley, Washingon, and Oregon wine areas.
