After the stresses of wedding planning and the excitement of the big day, the top choice for this year’s honeymoon get-away is, unsurprisingly, a romantic, relaxing cruise! Especially appealing to Texas couples are the easy, budget-friendly Carnival cruises that sail year-round from Galveston. Most popular is the Carnival Conquest, setting sail every Sunday to ports-of-call in tropical Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. Surrounding the days in port, where couples can share romantic adventures or down-time on sugary beaches, are leisurely days onboard with an enormou...
I missed you! Sorry I was away so long, but besides the cruise I also went to Kansas City to attend a graduation party for my niece. Well the cruise was great and I have a full report HERE. I'll have more pictures in a couple of days when I get my film developed! The specials are all up-to-date, so give me a call or pop me an e-mail this week! Thanks and talk soon -- Janet
I might as well start my "travel diary" right now as I involve myself in one of the most important preparations -- deciding what to wear! My Carnival Splendor cruise, being a "cool-weather" cruise (as opposed to going to the Caribbean), will require a bit different kind of packing. Can't just hang out in shorts and swimwear when the temperature's in the 70s. We'll have 3 days on the ship, then a day each in Astoria, Vancouver, and Victoria; and that's after spending 2 days at my sister's house in Kansas City -- a total of 10 days. Also, there will be 2...
I decided on Jamaica as the "Destination of the Week" because I had a couple of people ask about it this week, and I can save Alaska until I get back from the cruise and have pictures of Victoria! I hope to finish several client projects before I leave next week: Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Alaska, and Jamaica all look like great destinations for bargain travel.
Hope all of you Moms had a wonderful day! Bryce came over with the kiddos and the guys made hamburgers for dinner -- it was a really nice day. Now I'm just relaxing and trying to decide on the "Destination of the Week." I may go with "Alaska Cruise" again because it's such a wonderful vacation, and the prices will never be better than they are for this summer. I'm almost finished with preparations for Wednesday's trade show (the Richardson Chamber of Commerce Trade Show, from 12:00 to 7:00 at the Civic Center), and then I'll be getting ready for my cruise. ...
I had been looking for a travel agent opportunity, and thought I was going to get on the Norwegian Spirit for a Bermuda cruise. What happened was when I completed my NCL "Freestyle Certification" training, I was asked if I would be interested in a choice of Bermuda, Alaska, or Hawaii. I've been to Alaska twice and Hawaii 4 times, so I chose Bermuda -- it's usually an expensive cruise, so a chance to go at a substantial discount sounded good! Well, the invitations are based on points -- how many you have and how fast you got them -- and I'm very close to the top, but ...
What would be the most fun prize to win in a drawing? http://polls.linkedin.com/p/36687/etleg If you are able to attend, please stop by our booth at the Richardson Chamber of Commerce Trade Show, May 13th from 12:00 to 7:00 at the Civic Center (75 & Arapaho Road). Hope to see you there, or stop by the office for a catalogue -- we'd love to see you!
Wow -- I'm impressed! Three couples on three different Princess ships (the Emerald, just back from the Eastern Caribbean; the Pacific, now on the Pacific side of the Panama Canal; and the Ruby, finishing up in Barcelona after crossing the Atlantic Ocean) report that they are really loving their Princess cruises! "Beautiful ship" "Great food and service" "So far I've played Snowball Bingo and an afternoon Trivia Challenge!" "I sure love having the balcony -- we sit out there every day before dinner." "We're having a ...
