We're back from convention...

November 23rd 2009

The Cruise Planners convention in Ft. Lauderdale was excellent, and Brandon and I particularly enjoyed our 2-night stay aboard the magnificent Oasis of the Seas.  I should be able to post pix in a couple of days.

I think I'll break the review up into sections -- even though we were only there parts of 3 days, the ship is just too big and there are too many things going on to put it all into one blog post.

Then, we'll host our "Oasis Night" with Royal Caribbean rep Nicole DeCubas-Castillo on December 15th -- it's a Tuesday night "after work open house" here at the office.  Nicole will be here from 5:30 to 6:30 (she was on the ship, too) with her insight and impressions of the Oasis, too.

As for me and Brandon, here are our TOP 10 THINGS WE LOVED ABOARD THE OASIS OF THE SEAS:

10.  Having a glass of champagne in the Rising Tides Bar as we rode from the Promenade on deck 5 to Central Park on deck 8 and back.

9.  Sitting in the front row for the dazzling ice show.

8.  Enjoying wonderful Pizza at Sorrento's sidewalk cafe with the deck door open onto a beautiful Florida coast day.

7.  Taking a twirl on the Carousel.

6.  Watching surfers, rock-climbers, and zip-liners (we didn't have enough time to do them ourselves).

5.  Cocktail party in the Solarium with our fellow Cruise Planners.

4.  Touring the Crown Loft Suite,  Royal Loft Suite, Aqua Theater Suite, and Boardwalk and Central Park View Stateroom with Balcony.

3.  Going to the shows -- headliner group "Mosaic," comedy club performers, jazz band, and latin jazz band of Bolero's.

2.  Lollapalooza parade on the Promenade.

1.  Fine dining and wine in the main dining room!
