Top New Alaska Cruises for 2010
One of the top stories for 2010 is that Carnival is moving the Spirit to Seattle! Her beautiful Inside Passage cruise is well-suited for families, starting with an easy and budget-friendly Seattle flight. You get a nice overview of what Alaska is like, with glacier-viewing, fun and historic ports-of-call, opportunities for wildlife viewing, and an special evening visit to Victoria, British Colombia.
Another change I like is the new itinerary of Royal Caribbean's Rhapsody of the Seas, also sailing the Inside Passage from Seattle. You get longer stays in the ports, plus a full day in Victoria -- very nice!
Princess just keeps developing fantastic ideas -- proving themselves to be the leader in Alaska year after year. For 2010, they continue their wildly successful "Seattle Air Advantage" program in which you can fly round-trip to Seattle and still enjoy a Voyage of the Glaciers cruise plus a land tour -- Princess takes care of your transportation to/from Vancouver and Anchorage (or Fairbanks, depending on your cruisetour itinerary) and includes a night in Seattle either before or after your cruise.
What's new for 2010 is a special Family Fun Cruisetour! On the land tour portion of the trip, Princess has added breakfast, lunch on the "Direct to the Wilderness" train ride to Denali National Park, and several tours. You can combine this with the Seattle air program for a nearly all-inclusive package -- they're going all out to make family travel as fun and stress-free as possible. If you want to take the kids or grandkids to Alaska next summer -- this is the one!
And don't forget you can get a "small ship" or luxury experience in Alaska, too. Regent, Crystal, Cruise West, and specialty tour operators like Lindblad all offer intimate and exclusive experiences that you can't get from the "big ships."
So -- there's a little something for everyone in Alaska next year -- please call for more information and pricing and we'll help you find the Great Land adventure that's just right for you.
