Well, on our last trip to California wine country we bought some white wine, but we have since enjoyed every last drop of it. In Seattle, we picked up a couple of nice wines from Columbia Winery -- a Viognier and a dry Reisling -- so we will have those.
I think they will be fantastic with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, corn, cranberry relish, home made bread, pumkin pie, and cherry pie.
Probably the best Thanksgiving food-and-wine pairing we ever had was a Semillon -- but now I don't remember the winery where we got it. I will look it up and pass it along to you (it was several years ago) because it was very special.
A good Pinot Noir might be good, too. Hmmm, I think there's a 2005 Cuvaison back there somewhere. We've also been invited to a neighbor's on Saturday, so I'll fish out something nice to take over.
What's your favorite turkey-dinner wine?
