Yikes! $1.50 for a euro? No wonder everybody is looking for a cruise or a package this year. In fact, I'm now working with several clients customizing various package combinations of air, hotels, and tours. For example, Susan just got tired of looking and looking, and Karen was starting to panic about the high cost of hotels, so they called me for help and it looks like I can save them some money and make things easier for them.
The more you can pay for in dollars before you get on the plane, the better. Besides Mediterranean and Baltic cruising, there are also the options of fly-and-stay packages, escorted tours, and the ever-popular river cruises.
By the way, I just got in some brochures for Uniworld (river cruises), Globus (wonderful escorted tours), and American Express Vacations -- so call me or come by if you want one.
If you can go before school gets out, or wait until later in the Fall, you can stretch your dollar even further because you'll be traveling in "shoulder season" -- travel lingo for "less expensive time to go." Families who have to take their vacations in the summer really need to look at cruising -- with all the meals included on the ship, you can get away from that "nickled-and-dimed-to-death" feeling that sucks all the fun out, and just relax and focus on the sights, the history, and the adventure. After all, that's what a trip to the Old World is all about! Thanks -- give me a call -- talk soon -- Janet
